- DREAMING OF RUSLAND -
IMPRESSIONS OF WILDLIFE
A collaboration with Rusland Horizons, one of the first community-led Heritage Lottery Landscape Partnership Schemes. The project focuses on the traditional skills, heritage, habitats and wildlife of this quiet and special part of Lakeland between Coniston Water and Windermere.
The commission for this project was to draw seven unique images of fauna and flora you might find in the Rusland valley to encourage people to do the same.
This also included worksheets and accompanying video to help anyone (of any age!) who would like to have a go at drawing the seven species as well as information and hints as to where you might find the little collection out and about in the valley.
People were also encouraged to share past and present experiences of what they have seen in the area, especially at the time of Coronavirus when not everyone is able to visit, and wildlife has had some time to breathe and venture out and about more.
